Whilst serving part of his sentence in an open prison, Simon received an MVMF individual award to fund a computer that enabled him to embark on first year studies for a Sociology degree at Guildhall University, London. We were delighted to know that he finished the year with a high 2:1.
He applied to the Fund for additional financial support for reading and work material for his second year of studies, and this has now been granted. He hopes to restart his degree studies in September 2011.
